Imitation cotton is imitation silk cotton, that is, chemical fiber cotton. Silk-like cotton is a very good thermal insulation material, suitable for replacing down or plant cotton to make clothing fillings, and has a good thermal insulation effect.
Compared with pure cotton fabrics, imitation cotton is cheaper than pure cotton, but the disadvantage of imitation cotton is that it is easy to pilling, so if you choose to buy clothes, it is better to buy pure cotton fabrics, because pure cotton fabrics are not so easy to pilling.
There are several kinds of imitation cotton fabrics, namely soft cotton, loose cotton, non-adhesive cotton, imitation silk cotton, down cotton, washed cotton, filled cotton, pearl cotton, hot melt flakes, and hard cotton. The advantages of these fabrics are good hand feel, soft and smooth, strong air permeability, and resistance to washing, but because of the shortcomings of imitation cotton, which is easy to pilling, most imitation cotton is used as socks or clothing fillers, not directly into clothes.
